This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development and innovation of our food products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, improving, and maintaining food products and food safety programs.
This role is integral to our mission of delivering high-quality products that meet safety standards and satisfy consumer demands.
Responsibilities:
1.
Develop and optimize product formulations to meet quality and cost objectives.
2.
Design and implement food safety programs, ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, and other relevant food safety standards.
3.
Conduct research on raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and safety.
4.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of new products, from concept to commercialization.
5.
Conduct shelf-life testing and sensory evaluation of new and existing products.
6.
Stay updated on emerging food science technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
7.
Ensure all product labeling meets regulatory requirements.
8.
Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve any product-related issues.
9.
Provide technical guidance and support to other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
1.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Chemical Engineering.
2.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in food product development in the manufacturing industry.
3.
Proven experience in the design and development of Food Safety Programs.
4.
Proficient in developing product formulations.
5.
Possess SQF and HACCP Certifications.
6.
Strong knowledge of food product labeling requirements.
7.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
10.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
